Shiroiya Hotel has been selected for the “Global Selection” of domaine tetta—a domaine-style winery based in Tetta-cho, Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, where high-quality grapes and wines are cultivated and produced in-house on limestone-rich hills.
To commemorate this selection, Shiroiya Hotel will begin offering a special accommodation plan starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026, which includes a set of two bottles of tetta wine. Guests are invited to enjoy the philosophy and values of tetta—highly acclaimed worldwide—through both its wines and a stay experience surrounded by art and greenery.
What is the “domaine tetta Global Selection”?
The “domaine tetta Global Selection” is a limited-time global campaign running from April 2026 through March 2027, offered exclusively at ten carefully selected luxury hotels around the world that provide exceptional experiential value. By combining outstanding architecture, world-class hospitality, and a deep respect for local culture with Japan’s own domaine tetta wines, this initiative aims to elevate travel into a truly special experience.
In Japan, the campaign will launch in April 2026, starting in the east with Shiroiya Hotel and in the west with the small cruise ship guntû, which sails the Seto Inland Sea. From autumn 2026 onward, it is scheduled to expand gradually to hotels across Europe, the United States, and other parts of the world.
At domaine tetta, winemaking takes advantage of a climate with significant temperature differences—similar to that of renowned wine regions in France. The winery employs natural approaches such as fermentation with wild yeast and no added sugar or acid. Its efforts began with the revitalization of abandoned farmland and share a common vision of regional regeneration with Shiroiya Hotel, which itself restored a long-established inn with a history dating back to the Edo period to contribute to revitalizing Maebashi.
