Katashina Kogen Ski Resort is the only skier-exclusive snow resort in the Kanto region, offering a relaxed and welcoming environment for skiers of all levels.
With wide, open slopes, scenic cruising runs, and a location that experiences fewer blizzard days, the resort is known for its calm atmosphere and excellent visibility. As snowboarding is not permitted, families, seniors, and beginner skiers can enjoy the slopes with confidence and peace of mind.
For guests who choose the optional ski school, experienced instructors provide careful, step-by-step guidance from the basics upward (additional fee applies). Even first-time visitors to snowy mountains can experience the joy of skiing in a safe and enjoyable way.
Katashina Kogen Private Ski Tour (SHIROIYA Hotel Exclusive)
SHIROIYA Hotel’s private ski tour includes all ski equipment and accessories rental. Rental items and changing facilities are available at the log cabin near the slopes, so you can collect your gear immediately upon arrival and enjoy skiing straight away.

Slopes
Wide courses, efficient lifts, and expert course grooming
Katashina Kogen Ski Resort, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017, is known for its exceptionally wide runs. Lift capacity has been carefully designed to minimize congestion, allowing guests to ski comfortably without crowds.
From April 2025, the resort transitioned all facilities and lifts to 100% renewable, carbon-free energy.
As a skier-only resort, the risk of collisions is lower, and daily grooming and course inspections ensure a safe and pleasant experience—particularly for beginners and families.
Ski School (Optional)
SAJ-Certified Katashina Ski School
This ski school is officially certified by the Ski Association of Japan (SAJ) and offers lessons ranging from junior to adult levels.
Private lessons are fully customizable to suit individual skill levels and goals. Experienced instructors provide attentive support for everyone from first-time skiers to advanced participants.
